Doing Business in Australia - Taxation and Registrations
Everything you need to know about setting up and operating businesses within Australia
This is a self-paced execution plan to help all internal finance and accounting staff, bookkeepers and also small business owners, to understand the tax framework in Australia. This execution plan will explain the Who's who of Australia's regulatory environment and give you a good overview of the key information you need to consider when doing business in Australia.
It should also save you a bunch of time and money in professional fees that you might incur from an accountant to personally walk you through all of this in the first place. It may also help your staff get a good understanding of all of the 'blind-spots' they may need to consider when navigating the Australian business landscape.

A bit about Sam
Sam began working with small to medium business in 2002 when he started his career in Chartered Accounting at William Buck. In 2005 he moved to PKF (formerly Lawler Partners).
In 2008, Sam took an opportunity to work for Merrill Lynch (Bank of America) in equities and equity derivatives.
After 7 years working with investment banks Merrill Lynch and JP Morgan, it became clear that Sam's passion was in working with and developing small to medium businesses, and returned to PKF.
Following 3 years at PKF, supported by both PKF and his existing client base, he took the first step in pursuing his passion for business and setup his own - Nine Advisory.
Sam hails from a small town near Narrabri in the north west of NSW, where he grew up on a cattle and wheat farm. His parents continue to run the farm. He continues to be passionate about agriculture and also has a strong technology bias.
At the same time as starting his business, Sam and his wife Annabelle - also from the country in south-central Queensland, welcomed their boy Banjo into the world.
Sam is a keen sports fan (Waratahs, Swans, Dragons, cricket and horse racing) and a lover of all things competitive.
